We want you to be confident trying Borui Academy. If it's not the right fit, we'll refund you under the rules below — no shame, no friction.

Subscriptions
14-day money-back on the first charge of any subscription.
Single courses
Refundable within 48 h and if < 10% accessed.
1. 7-day free trial
Every new All-Access or All-Access + Tools subscription comes with a 7-day free trial. Cancel anytime in that window and your card will not be charged. To cancel: Settings → Subscription → Cancel.
2. Subscription refunds
2.1 First charge
- If you cancel within 14 days of the first paid charge, we refund the full amount.
- This applies whether the charge was monthly or yearly.
- One first-time refund per customer; cancelling and re-subscribing later does not reset eligibility.
2.2 Subsequent renewals
- Monthly: non-refundable. Cancel anytime to stop the next renewal.
- Yearly: we'll refund the unused portion on a pro-rata basis if you cancel within 30 days of a renewal. After 30 days, no refund — but you keep access through the end of the year.
3. Single Course Pass refunds
Single course passes are fully refundable within 48 hours of purchase, provided:
- You have not opened more than 10% of the lessons.
- You have not attempted more than 10 practice questions.
- You have not taken any mock exam.
After 48 hours OR once those usage limits are exceeded, the pass is non-refundable.
4. What we'll always refund
- Accidental duplicate charges (e.g. the system charges you twice).
- Charges after cancellation (if you cancelled before renewal but were still billed).
- Service outage > 48 h in any 30-day period — we'll either credit you a month or refund pro-rata, your choice.
- Underage purchases without parental consent (per PIPEDA).
5. What we don't refund
- “I didn't study enough” or “I didn't pass my exam” — sorry, we can't guarantee outcomes.
- Subscriptions cancelled after the renewal date.
- Single courses opened past 10% usage.
- Add-ons (e.g. extra mock-exam credits) once consumed.
6. How to request a refund
Email [email protected] with:
- The email address on your account
- The Stripe transaction ID or approximate charge date + amount
- A brief reason (optional, but it helps us improve)
We respond within 3 business days and process approved refunds within 7 business days. The refund typically appears on your statement in 5–10 business days after that, depending on your bank.
7. School / multi-student purchases
School or tutoring-centre accounts have a separate agreement — contact us before purchase and we'll write a custom refund schedule into the arrangement.
8. Chargebacks
Please email us before filing a chargeback. We'll almost always refund valid requests faster than a chargeback would. Disputed chargebacks may result in account suspension while resolved.
9. Updates
We may update this policy. Material changes are announced by email and on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. The policy in force at the time of your purchase always applies to that purchase.
